How to take Backup and Restore of your Blogger Templates for safety.

Make a backup of your blogger templates is very important for avoiding unexpected things happen, i.e. you accidentally mess up your layout. If you have the backup layout stored in your Hard Drive, then returning to the original is easy. If you want to back up your template each time you want. Better yet always keep a latest version of your template stored in your Hard Drive.


Now that you understand the importance of having a template backup, let’s start doing it-

How To Make A Backup Of Your Templates

Step 1 Log in to your Blogger account

Step 2 Go to your Blogger Dashboard and click on -> Template -> Backup/Restore

A popup window will appear like below image

Step 3 Clicks On Download Full Templates.

Your templates will be saved in your hard drive.

How To Restore Your Templates

Now whenever you want to restore your template, simply

Step 1 Go to your Blogger Dashboard and click on -> Template -> Backup/Restore

Step 2 Click on Choose File and select your backup xml file from your hard drive.

The template code will be replaced by the code and your template is restored
